Improve NT 4.0 wheel mouse detection Win NT 4.0's native PS/2 mouse driver is less robust than the Win95 Intellipoint 2.0 mouse driver. If you hit a control R (reset) this would cause the mouse to revert to a non-wheel mouse, causing the mouse to be out of sync. The same thing would occur if you had the mouse plugged in directly to the computer and disconnected and reconnected it. The control R now has no effect on the computer's PS/2 mouse type. Also if the mouse attached is a regular PS/2 mouse, now the switch will never act to the computers like a wheel mouse. This means for a wheel mouse to be auto-detected by a computer when it loads it driver, you must have a wheel mouse attached to the switch. We have also tested with Logitech wheel mice, these do not have the same protocols as Microsoft wheel mouse and computers should be configured as regular PS/2 mice. If you have an on-screen display, a Logitech mouse will however show as a wheel mouse on the system page. This firmware has no effect on Apple and Sun units, but has been released anyway so all the revision numbers are always the same.
